River Run

I have been screaming in the Kirkland Courtyard for the last three hours and I am completely hoarse, so good thing blogging doesn't take a voice. The freshman participate every year in a tradition called River Run, where they go to all the houses where they want to get into and take shots in the superstition that this will help them get in. We made posters and screamed the Kirkland ode. Someone blared the soundtrack to the music videos we made out the window so that the whole house could hear. We banged trashcan lids together and jumped up and down. We danced, and it was fantastic.

However, it is completely random to which house you are assigned, and tomorrow at 8:00 AM we will deliver letter and find out which 131 new freshman will be joining us.

I took two midterms and read 200 pages of dense theory on the origin, development, and intersections of the anthropological on race and the role of globalization. So happy to be done studying and excited for tomorrow! :)
